Want to breathe some fresh forest air and get your hands dirty? Come join us at Otter Ponds Demonstration Forest for a Volunteer Work Party & BBQ on Sunday, July 6th!

Our main focus will be on clearing storm damage on our trail network from Hurricanes Dorian and Fiona. We'll have a team lead with chainsaw certification in each group, and are looking for some extra hands to move branches and use basic hand tools to clear smaller brush off the trails. No experience necessary! 

We'll meet at 9:50am at the Mooseland Community Centre (4032 Mooseland Road, Mooseland, NS) and carpool to the forest at 10:00am. Click here for directions.

​A free BBQ lunch will be available on site. Please let us know in the registration form below if you have any dietary restrictions.

Pre-registration is strongly recommended so we can make sure we have enough lunch available.

• Sturdy footwear for walking through the woods
• Appropriate clothing for the weather
• Sunscreen
• Insect repellant

• Work gloves (we have extras you can borrow)
