The Otter Ponds Demonstration Forest is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, the members of which are voted on annually. The Board is made up of three voting directors nominated by each from the four non-governmental organizations (NSWOOA, the Ecology Action Centre, Eastern Shore Forest Watch, and Mooseland and Area Community Association), and a non-voting representative from both Northern Pulp Nova Scotia Corp. and the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources & Renewables.
